ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY

Student-athletes must be enrolled in at least five classes per semester that collectively provide a minimum of 2.5 Carnegie units of credit. Teacher Aide classes contribute only 0.25 Carnegie units.

Grades are reviewed every Monday morning, and reports are provided to varsity coaches. Students with a failing grade (F) or two Ds at the time of the grade check will be deemed ineligible for the following week.

Students have until 3:00 p.m. on Friday to notify the Athletic Office of any grade changes. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for competitions the following week (Monday-Saturday).

It is the student's responsibility to inform the Athletic Department. If they do not, they will remain ineligible, even if they meet the eligibility requirements.

Individual programs may impose stricter academic standards and expectations for their student-athletes, including implementing additional consequences for poor academic or classroom behavior.
